Massa room, Building U6 (4° floor) - Piazza dell'Ateneo Nuovo 1, Milano
We are pleased to announce the opening day of the PhD Programme in Education in the Contemporary Society (ESC) at the University of Milano-Bicocca. The event will provide an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas on the programme’s research themes and training activities.
The morning session, open to the entire department, will begin with the institutional greetings by Professor Monica Guerra, Head of the Department of Human Sciences for Education "Riccardo Massa", and Professor Chiara Bove, Coordinator of the PhD Programme. These will be followed by three keynote lectures addressing key issues in contemporary society: bullying and gender stereotypes in adolescence; the changing nature of work and its implications for education and identity; and the role of knowledge in a democratic society.
In the afternoon, the session, intended exclusively for ESC PhD candidates, will introduce the doctoral programme, focusing in particular on research, teaching and training activities. It will also provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss the challenges of doctoral study with PhD candidates from the 40th and 41st cycles.
