Final discussion of the PNRR doctoral candidates of the 38th cycle of the PhD in Education in the Contemporary Society

An important milestone in research and training for two doctoral candidates of the ESC PhD program

On May 6, the final discussion of the PNRR doctoral candidates of the 38th cycle of the PhD in Education in the Contemporary Society took place.
Below are the names of the new PhDs and the titles of their works:

  • Francesca Loberto, Voices in Longevity: Stories of elderly women in mountain areas, between balance, desire and care
  • Francesca Rota, Building sustainability in educational practices: A participatory research study with early childhood services of the Municipality of Milan

This was a significant moment of scientific exchange and of enhancing research paths, highlighting the quality and relevance of the work developed within the PhD program, also in relation to the objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

The doctoral candidates presented the results of their research, emphasizing articulated theoretical and methodological approaches capable of making a meaningful contribution to the contemporary educational debate.
At the end of the discussions, the committee - composed of Guido Veronese (University of Milano-Bicocca, internal chair), Cosimo Di Bari (University of Florence), and Nima Sharmahd (VBJK Centre, Ghent) - expressed appreciation for the scientific rigor, originality, and maturity of the work presented.
