The European Star Girls project, of which our Department is a partner, aims to bridge the gender gap in the renewable energy sector through women’s empowerment, mentoring, and support for women’s roles in clean energy and sustainability fields.
In recent weeks, the call to become a STAR Girls Mentor has officially opened: a unique opportunity for professionals and experts who wish to put their skills at the service of future generations, inspiring young women and girls to build their futures in the green transition.
Through a European-level mentoring, training, and networking programme, STAR Girls is building its Dream Team: an international network of women ready to generate tangible impact by contributing to a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable energy system.
This call is intended for those working in renewable energy, sustainability, or STEM and related fields, who want to actively be part of the change.
Participation requirements include:
- Expertise in clean and renewable energy (CRE), sustainable energy, the green transition, or related STEM fields
- Experience in educational, organisational, or community-based activities with a focus on inclusion (including youth guidance, career guidance, or human resources)
- Motivation to inspire and mentor young women and girls
- Availability between September 2026 and April/June 2027
- Interest in contributing to a structured mentoring programme
The professionals selected to form the STAR Girls Dream Team will mentor young women through a structured, non-hierarchical, trust-based pathway.
