Health Conflict and Psychology lab organizes a serie of lectures dedicated to the seminal work of the black intellectual, pedagogist, and activist bell hooks. The serie will start with a number of lectures on "Black Italian Studies". The first bell hooks lecture by the italian black therapist and feminist Ronkè Oluwadare: Decolonise the profession of therapy should start from its origins. I moved my first footsteps in that direction by bringing with me in the therapy room bell hooks and Frantz Fanon. Including race and ethnicity in exploring internal relationships between conscience and social context helped me and my patients to dig deeper in our blind spots and gave them the chance to finally discover the powerful, generative and transformative potential of difference.
